Today was a big day for Creative Assembly and fans of the Total War series. The developer hosted a Total War-focused showcase in which it shared most of its future plans for series. Total War: Medieval 3 was announced, with an addendum that the game is currently in early development. Total War: Warhammer 3 is also getting further content. The Lords of the End Times DLC pack was announced for Warhammer 3 and will bring new Legendary Lords, units, and mechanics in summer 2026.

Creative Assembly and Sega announced the details of its upcoming Total War content in an anniversary presentation for the series this week. There, we got our first look at both Total War: Medieval 3 and the Warhammer 3 Lords of the End Times DLC. While Medieval 3 is exciting, it’s still quite some time away from release. Creative Assembly confirmed that the game is in early development.

The Lords of the End Times DLC is much faster approaching for Total War: Warhammer 3. It will bring new Lords in summer 2026, the first of which is Nagash, the Great Necrmancer, who will join the Vampire Counts. Given that Creative Assembly usually puts together three new lords for its DLC, we expect we might find out about more leading up to the DLC’s summer 2026 release. There’s also the Tides of Torment DLC that came out today, featuring its own collection of Lords for the High Elves, Slaanesh, and the Warriors of Chaos.

With Tides of Torment available now and plenty of Total War goodness on the horizon, you’ll want to stay tuned to the Total War series topic for more updates and news.
