Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is set to launch for Switch 2 in November, delivering a story that chronicles the events leading up to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Players jumping into the new musou game will be able to claim a couple of exclusive rewards if their Switch systems have save data for two relevant Zelda games.

The new trailer for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment was uploaded today and while it only clocks in at less than a minute, it reveals a special “Save Data Link Bonus” promotion. If your Switch 2 has save data for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you can receive the High Guard’s Sword in-game. Players with save data for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity can receive the High Guard’s Claymore.

With Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment serving as a prequel to Tears of the Kingdom, and its predecessor, Age of Calamity, being a Breath of the Wild spin-off, it makes sense that these are the two games Nintendo wants to reward players for playing.

It was announced at last week’s Nintendo Direct that Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment will launch on November 6, 2025, for the Switch 2.
