Dead by Daylight will get a chapter based on The Casting of Frank Stone in 2027
Dead by Daylight will look to its own narrative tie-in game for its 2027 content lineup.
by Donovan Erskine · ShacknewsBack in 2024, The Quarry developer Supermassive Games released The Casting of Frank Stone, a narrative game set in the Dead by Daylight universe. It was published by Dead by Daylight creator Behaviour Interactive, and will now serve as the inspiration for upcoming content in the asymmetrical horror game.
Behaviour Interactive announced during Dead by Daylight’s 10th Anniversary event that in 2027, the game will receive a chapter based on The Casting of Frank Stone. Set in the 1980s, The Casting of Frank Stone follows a group of amateur filmmakers who go to shoot a movie at an abandoned steel mill, where a man was killed less than twenty years prior.
It’s unclear what specific content awaits in the Frank Stone-themed chapter of Dead by Daylight. Typically, new chapters introduce survivors, killers, and locations based on the theme.
I reviewed The Casting of Frank Stone and thought that it was an interesting exploration of the Dead by Daylight universe, even if its gameplay elements didn’t really come together. In other DBD news, Behaviour Interactive has confirmed that the movie adaptation is moving forward with a finished script and a director officially attached.
