With Cryptic Studios back under its own management, and Arc Games continuing to support as a publisher, it’s about time for Cryptic to kick off its new year of content in its games. It starts this month with Star Trek Online, which launches its 35th season with the Corruption update, featuring new stories, returning characters, and more.

Cryptic Studios announced the details of the Star Trek Online Corruption update and Season 35 in a recent press release. The season will launch on February 17, 2026 for PC, and on March 10, 2026 for Xbox and PlayStation consoles. A Chimeran invasion is threatening the galaxy, and players will join Star Trek: Deep Space Nine’s Captain Ezri Dax (played Nicole de Boer, who played the character in the TV series) in fighting back. Chimeran corruption and influence is spreading through the galaxy and players will have to remain stalwart as this overwhelming force corrodes hope. You’ll find the means to turn the tide in a new episode and Task Force Operation.

Star Trek Online’s 35th Season features a lot to celebrate. The game is passing its 16th anniversary, Cryptic Studios and Arc Games are no longer beholden to Embracer Group, and former co-founder Jack Emmert has returned as CEO. Additionally, Art Director Thomas Marone will be moving into the role of Executive Producer on Star Trek Online. He’s helped shape the vision of the game for years, and his ship models, such as Pathfinder-class U.S.S. Voyager-B and the Odyssey-class Enterprise-F, have appeared in Star Trek TV series.

With the next season of Star Trek Online right over the horizon, players have a lot to look forward to. Stay tuned to the Star Trek Online topic for more updates.
