Larian Studios announced the surprise release of Divinity: Original Sin 2 to modern consoles with a new trailer. Described by Larian CEO Swen Vincke as the “spiritual predecessor” to Baldur’s Gate 3, Divinity: Original Sin 2 features turn-based combat, a branching storyline, and a wide range of customization. It was originally released in 2018 for PC before getting ported to the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in later years.
Owners of Divinity: Original Sin 2 can upgrade to the new version on all platforms at no additional cost (except for Switch 2 users in Japan, who will need to pay 100 Yen).
