Former Yakuza lead Toshiiro Nagoshi moved on from Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio a few years ago, forming Nagoshi Studio under NetEase Games. We’ve been waiting patiently to see what Nagoshi had in store for us, and at The Game Awards 2025, the studio did not disappoint. The group revealed Gang of Dragon, which looks to be a return to form for Nagoshi as an urban action-adventure.

Gang of Dragon was revealed during The Game Awards 2025 with a cinematic trailer giving us our first look at it.

Gang of Dragon harkens back to Nagoshi’s work at Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku as the creator of the Yakuza series. We got to see a rough encounter in which a man is stabbed, and then a bar scene in which one burly fellow takes out several thugs before the final title reveal.

This is Nagoshi Studio’s first major title since it was formed under NetEase Games in 2022. It’s been in development for a few years, so we expect we’ll learn more about Gang of Dragon soon. Stay tuned to the Nagoshi Studio topic for more updates.
