Those interested in checking out the next Super Meat Boy platformer can now check out a taste of the action ahead of its release in 2026. Super Meat Boy 3D has gotten a free demo on Steam, so players can check it out and try a few levels as the team continues to develop the game.

Headup Games announced the Super Meat Boy 3D demo on its social media channels this week, with the demo now available on Steam. Super Meat Boy 3D is currently planned solely for PC, so Steam is the only place the demo can be found for now. However, it does offer a substantial amount of content, allowing players to play through the entire first two worlds of levels.

Super Meat Boy 3D was announced back in June 2025 and is planned for release on PC in 2026. It’s a big departure for the series, taking Meat Boy into a 3D platformer space. Sluggerfly is co-developing with the original Team Meat to make this one happen, and the developers promise that it will continue to be as satisfying and challenging as any Meat Boy game that has come before.

With the demo out, players can be the judge of that themselves. Check it out and stay tuned for more updates and news on the Super Meat Boy topic.
