Selena Gomez has a lot going on at the moment. On top of planning her wedding to producer Benny Blanco (rumored to take place this month), she’s been doing press for Only Murders in the Building season 5 and just made an appearance at the 2025 Emmy Awards.

Selena showed up to the annual awards show wearing a fiery red gown with a dramatic train accessorizing her look with massive diamond earrings and—of course—her fiancé Benny.

While Sel isn’t nominated this year in the Best Actress category, Only Murders in the Building is up for Outstanding Comedy Series and she’s a producer on the show—so it’s a big night for her. Also in the category? Abbott Elementary, The Bear, Hacks, Nobody Wants This, Shrinking, and What We Do in the Shadows.”

Sel chatted to Numéro about the biggest challenge to her this season on Only Murders, saying, “I don’t think I personally experienced things in terms of challenge. I feel like I was able to become Mabel (the character played by Selena Gomez in the series, editor’s note) as I went along and grew up with her. And is a part of me now. I just enjoy the process.”

She added of working with living legends Martin Short and Steve Martin, “I just enjoy their company. Even when I’m just sitting on set waiting for something to happen and they’re playing a game, there’s a comfort in that, and I feel very protected and safe around them.”
