Keith Urban Abruptly Ends Radio Interview Over Nicole Kidman Sex Question
· CosmopolitanKeith Urban is not here for questions about Nicole Kidman's sex scenes. The musician appears to have abruptly ended an interview with radio show Hayley & Max in the Morning due to a question about his wife's intimate on-screen moments with Zac Efron in A Family Affair, and it was awkward to say the least.
Basically, hosts Hayley Peterson and Max Burford wanted Keith to play a game called "Wall of Truth," which was introduced like this:
"In our 'Wall of Truth,' Keith, we often get put into this situation where we have to answer a very tricky question, deeply personal question. I get really uncomfortable, to be honest, asking our beautiful guests something they might be uncomfortable."
Max then asked—per Us Weekly— "What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV?"
Cut to radio silence (literally) due to Keith seemingly ending the Zoom call.
Things only got more awkward when a producer chimed in with "He’s just disconnected from Zoom. I think his team hung up on us because they didn’t want us to ask that question."
Hayley then said, "That’s 100 percent what’s just happened. Oh my god. I knew that would happen. We’ve upset him! He’s gone. He doesn’t like talking about his wife."
The segment ended with a producer confirming they'd reached out to Keith's publicist and were waiting to hear back.
Truly am feeling an unparalleled level of second-hand awkwardness.
