Does ‘Moana 2’ Have Any Post-Credit Scenes?

Are there any end-credit scenes in Moana 2? How many?

· Cosmopolitan

We're riding the big Moana 2 wave as one of the one and only Disney chief sets off on a brand new journey that takes place three years after the original movie. And while you're don't want to spend another minute without watching it, there's definitely something that would be on your mind if you're a big Disney fan. That's right, it's about the big post-credit surprise that we always love to see. So does Moana 2 also include one?

Here’s everything you need to know about the end-credit scenes in Moana 2.

Moana 2 does include a credits scene, but it's not all the way at the ned. While fellow Disney creatives at Marvel have surprised us with many end-credit scenes, Moana 2 does include one in the mid-credits. So that means you don't have to wait until the very end to watch the special new scene and you don't have to wait after first watching it.

I missed it, what happened in the Moana 2 mid-credits scene?

If you haven't seen the movie yet, we definitely recommend you going to watch it first before reading on as this will be super confusing without having seen it.

But if you have seen the film, then you probably noticed that we didn't get an update on Matangi, the underwater goddess who was trapped by Nalo. While lifting Motufetu back up from the bottom of the ocean should've helped free her, the mid-credits scene shows her in front of Nalo who uses his powers to still keep her trapped. He questions her after he realizes that Moana and Maui were successful in their mission.

As she lies to him and tells him that she doesn't know how they were able to lift the curse, Tamatoa, the coconut crab from the first movie, appears and notes that he would like to work with them to go against Moana and Maui. Nalo says that they're just getting started while Tamatoa suggests getting together to sing a funk crab legs song.

Anything else we should know?

Moana 2 was originally set to be a Disney+ series so it's not too surprising to see them have something that will lead up to more. Whether or not this will end up being a third Moana film or a new series still remains to be seen, but there's definitely a lot questions that still need to be answered.
