Wondering How Much Nikki Glaser Got Paid to Host the Golden Globes?

· CosmopolitanThe 2026 Golden Globes have officially kicked off awards season, and for the second year in a row, Nikki Glaser brought down the house as host. But people need to know...just how much did she earn for the notoriously difficult hosting gig? It hasn't been revealed what she earned for the 2026 show yet, but last year, people were side-eyeing the Hollywood Foreign Press when it was revealed that she got paid less than at least one Golden Globes host who came before her.
Speaking to Howard Stern last year (via People), Nikki said she would have hosted the show "for free," and noted, "I got paid pretty [well]. There was a past host who said how much money he got paid in his monologue, and I got less than that, but that's okay. I'll get more next year."

Per People, she was referring to Jerrod Carmichael, who hosted the Golden Globes in 2023 and let it slip that he got $500,000. And according to Deadline, Nikki was paid a bit more than $400,000 for her inaugural Globes hosting stint...though that fee was said to have risen "significantly" this year.
Sooooo, how does this compare to other awards shows? Honestly, the Golden Globes seem to pay a lot more than the going rate. So that's a plus! According to Forbes, Grammys hosts make about $20,000, Tony Awards hosts make even less at $2,700 per person (this is as of Page Six's reporting in 2016 so let's hope things have improved), and the Oscars fall somewhere in the middle.
In 2013, The Hollywood Reporter claimed that the host budget was $15,000-$25,000, though Jimmy Kimmel revealed that he was paid $15,000. And he noted that "it sounds like a lot for one night but it's months of work leading up to it."
Welp. Either way, Nikki killed it two years in a row, so let's hope she got a raise—and hosts again next year.
