Everything We Know About ‘Every Year After’ Season 2

First, has Every Year After been renewed for season 2 yet?

· Cosmopolitan

Already ready to return for another summer of Every Year After? The new series, based on Carley Fortune’s book Every Summer After, is now streaming on Prime Video. Every Year After season 1 dropped eight episodes on June 10, 2026. Here’s what we know about the potential for season 2.

The series follows Percy Fraser (Sadie Soverall) as she returns to the lake down where she spent summers as a child. She’s there to mourn the loss of her childhood friends’ mom Sue Florek (Elisha Cuthbert) and reunite with her ex-boyfriend Sam Florek (Matt Cornett). It’s angst on angst on angst set in an idyllic location.

Not yet! However, given how much Prime Video loves a YA-ish romance book adaptation, it seems like a pretty safe bet. Hopefully the show joins the ranks of Off Campus, The Summer I Turned Pretty, and We Were Liars sooner rather than later.

What will Every Year After season 2 be about?

Funny you should ask that! There happens to be a second book in Fortune’s series, and it is all about Charlie Florek (Michael Bradway) and his second change at love story. It’s called One Golden Summer and introduces a girl named Alice Everly to the mix. That means that there will be at least one new cast member on Every Year After in season 2, if it does get renewed. Exciting!

When will we get Every Year After season 2 if it happens?

If this goes the way of The Summer I Turned Pretty, we could have Every Year After season 2 as early as next year. The first two seasons of that show came out every year, and the third was only delayed because of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes in 2023. Off Campus, a more recent example, is already filming its highly anticipated second season. Let’s hope for a renewal first, and a June 2027 release date after that!
