· Cosmopolitan- The White Lotus is reportedly in early production stages for its upcoming fourth season.
- Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO of HBO and HBO Max Content, confirmed that casting for the upcoming season has already begun.
- A certain Oscar-nominated star known for their role in the Harry Potter film franchise is rumored to be in talks for The White Lotus season 4.
The White Lotus season 3 took us all the way to Thailand with stars like Patrick Schwarzenegger, Parker Posey, and BLACKPINK’s premiere diva, LISA. While it only dropped in February 2025 (yes, that did happen this year), fans are already latching on to any crumb of information they’ll get about the upcoming fourth season.
Thankfully, production for season 4 (which is taking place in France!) is already in its early stages. And according to Deadline, Helena Bonham Carter “is in early talks for a starring role.”

Details about HBO’s dealmaking process are being kept under wraps, but sources told Deadline that “exclusive conversations are under way between both parties.”
The actor is known for her portrayal of Bellatrix Lestrange in the Harry Potter movie franchise, as well as Ocean’s Eight, Enola Holmes, Fight Club, and a whole bunch of Tim Burton projects (which makes sense, considering they were together for 13 years).
If Helena takes on the role, she’ll be the first official cast member for the HBO hit’s fourth season—but she wouldn’t be the first Harry Potter alum to join the dark comedy’s cinematic universe. Jason Isaacs, who starred as Lucius Malfoy in the Harry Potter films, took on the role of Timothy Radliff in The White Lotus season 3.
The concept of Bellatrix Lestrange going from Hogwarts to The White Lotus…now that’d be iconic!
