Taylor Swift Looks Like an Actual Goddess at the 2026 VMAs

Taylor Swift is at the 2026 VMAs to make history as the show’s most-awarded artist ever! The singer—who is fresh off the release of The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore—hit the always-iconic VMAs red carpet wearing a draped Grecian-inspired gown with a glittering silver skirt and a sleek halter top.

Taylor is picking up the inaugural MTV VMA Artist Director Honors, which “celebrates a sustained and influential body of work from artists who have pushed creative boundaries and developed a clear directorial voice” and recognizes “groundbreaking music artists whose work behind the camera has expanded the possibilities of music video and advanced the art of visual storytelling.” The honor will make her the most-awarded artist in VMAs history with 31 wins.

On top of that, Taylor’s premiering the music video for “Patient Zero” tonight, which stars Colin Farrell and Dakota Johnson. The song is about Taylor (aka Patient Zero) giving advice to the most recent girlfriend of her toxic ex, and everyone’s convinced it’s about Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas. Remember: Taylor dated Joe back in 2008, and when he and Sophie broke up in 2023, she and Taylor became fast friends (Tay even let Sophie live in her NYC apartment). More on the theory below!
