Based on a novel, “Way Back Love” is a fantasy romance drama starring Kim Min Ha as Hee Wan, a 24-year-old woman who has isolated herself from society after losing the will to live. A week before her death, her childhood friend and first love Ram Woo (Gong Myoung) appears before her as a grim reaper.

Kim Ji Soo takes on the role of Ho Kyung, an art gallery director whose calm yet commanding presence leaves a strong impression. With her poised demeanor and quietly resolute gaze, she exudes both elegance and quiet power.
Krystal plays Ram Woo’s grim reaper senior, whose fierce aura is equally compelling. Dressed in a chic all-black ensemble, she appears to be around the same age as Ram Woo—but in reality, she’s an ancient ancestor who passed away centuries ago. With a résumé spanning lifetimes, she delivers a powerful presence that’s hard to ignore.
The final episodes will follow Ram Woo and Hee Wan as they visit Jung Sook (Seo Young Hee). As Ram Woo comes face-to-face with his mother after many years, viewers are curious to hear what he will say. Will Hee Wan finally be able to express the emotions she’s held back? The episodes will also feature Ram Woo and Hee Wan’s first and last date, leaving fans wondering how their love story will end.
