Based on a novel, “Way Back Love” is a fantasy romance drama starring Kim Min Ha as Hee Wan, a 24-year-old woman who has isolated herself from society after losing the will to live. A week before her death, her childhood friend and first love Ram Woo (Gong Myoung) appears before her as a grim reaper.

Previously, Ram Woo climbed the observatory in Hee Wan’s name but tragically died, leaving Hee Wan to live with guilt. However, when Ram Woo returned as a grim reaper, he didn’t blame Hee Wan. Instead, he shared a long-unspoken confession: “I like you.” The two shared an emotional moment, shedding tears as they finally expressed their true feelings, leaving a lasting emotional impact.
Newly released stills show Ram Woo and Hee Wan growing closer. Their long-awaited date, after four years, is filled with warmth and excitement. The moment of their heart-pounding kiss only heightens the anticipation. Both feel a warmth they’ve never experienced before. However, knowing their time is limited, a shadow crosses Hee Wan’s face.
The final episodes will focus on Ram Woo and Hee Wan spending their last day of the week together. As Hee Wan prepares to say goodbye to the world, she creates a bucket list, just like Ram Woo. However, unpredictable events continue to unfold for them. The episodes will also feature the reunion of the two friends with Ram Woo’s mother, Jeong Sook (Seo Young Hee).
A previously released preview video shows Young Hyun (Shim Eun Kyung) searching for Hee Wan as she walks the streets at night. Ram Woo then questions Hee Wan, saying, “Why are you preparing to leave as if this is what you’ve been waiting for?” This moment sparks curiosity about whether Ram Woo and Hee Wan will make it through their final day and what kind of ending awaits them.
The final episodes of “Way Back Love” will be released on April 17.
