CJ Enm Partners With JYP, Tencent Music to Launch Greater China-Focused Onecead Venture
by Naman Ramachandran · VarietyKorean powerhouse CJ Enm has partnered with JYP Entertainment’s Chinese subsidiary and Tencent Music Entertainment to launch Onecead, a new joint venture focused on developing artists for the Greater China market.
The partnership establishes Onecead through NCC Entertainment, a company formed by JYP China and Chinese online music platform TME. The venture will handle artist development and management, with plans to expand into music production, live events and merchandising.

Onecead’s inaugural project involves managing Modyssey, a seven-member boy band that emerged from Mnet Plus’s survival competition “Planet C: Home Race.” The program, which wrapped in late December as an extension of Mnet’s “Boys II Planet” franchise, drew millions of votes worldwide to determine the final lineup of Hengyu, Fan Zheyi, Li Zihao, Lynnlynn, Suren, Yichen And Rowan.
CJ Enm is replicating a business model it has successfully deployed in Japan through Lapone Entertainment, which manages acts including JO1 and INI. Those groups have built substantial followings not only in Japan but across broader Asian markets, demonstrating the Korean entertainment giant’s capacity to develop local talent with regional and global appeal.
The new entity aims to create a comprehensive music business spanning artist management, production, touring and merchandise across Greater China and international markets. The partnership leverages CJ Enm’s content production capabilities alongside JYP China and TME’s regional infrastructure and industry networks.
CJ ENM operates across media content, music, film and performing arts. The company has backed Oscar-winning film “Parasite,” operates K-content platform TVING, and manages K-pop acts including Zerobaseone and Alpha Drive One, while also presenting the KCON fan festival and MAMA Awards.
