Ariana Grande is returning to “Saturday Night Live” on Dec. 20 for her third stint as host. She’ll be joined by musical guest Cher, who will take the Studio 8H stage for the first time since her “SNL” debut in 1987.

The week before, on Dec. 13, Josh O’Connor will make his “SNL” hosting debut alongside Lily Allen, who makes her second appearance as musical guest.

As previously announced, the Dec. 6 episode will be led by host Melissa McCarthy and musical guest Dijon.

Grande, a Grammy winner and Oscar nominee, stars in “Wicked: For Good,” which hits theaters on Nov. 21. This will mark her fifth time on “Saturday Night Live,” having served as musical guest twice, host and musical guest in 2016 and host in October 2024. She is known to whip out musical impressions on the show, and she has previously covered Cher’s hit “Believe” on Jimmy Fallon’s “That’s My Jam.” Cher is promoting her autobiography “The Memoir.”

O’Connor stars in the upcoming “Knives Out” threequel “Wake Up Dead Man,” in limited theaters on Nov. 26 and streaming on Netflix on Dec. 12. Allen is fresh off the release of her buzzy fifth album, “West End Girl.”

McCarthy is a two-time Oscar nominee who won an Emmy for hosting “SNL” in 2017. This marks her sixth time at the helm, and her first hosting appearance in more than eight years. She recently made a cameo in the “Parking Lot Altercation” sketch alongside Martin Short. Dijon will be performing songs from his new album “Baby.”
