Emmy Winners: ‘Widow’s Bay’ Dominates With 14 Wins, ‘The Pitt’ and ‘DTF St. Louis’ Tie With 7 Awards

Apple TV’s new horror comedy “Widow’s Bay” led the way at the 2026 Emmy Awards, winning a leading 14 trophies out of 19 nominations across Monday’s Primetime ceremony and last weekend’s Creative Arts Awards. It won for best comedy series, lead comedy actor for Matthew Rhys (who made history as a double winner for limited series “The Beast in Me”), supporting actress for Kate O’Flynn, supporting actor for Stephen Root, writing for creator Katie Dippold and directing for Hiro Murai.

HBO’s medical drama “The Pitt” followed with seven awards out of 25 nominations, the most for any series this year. It won best drama series and lead drama actor for Noah Wyle for the second year in a row. The series nearly doubled its haul of 13 nods last year. Apple’s new twisty drama “Pluribus” was close behind with six wins, including for creator Vince Gilligan’s writing and lead actress Rhea Seehorn (who finally took home an Emmy after going empty-handed for the entirety of Gilligan’s last show “Better Call Saul”).

In the limited series race, “DTF St. Louis” also led with seven wins, including for supporting actor David Harbour and supporting actress Linda Cardellini. Creator Steven Conrad also won for his directing and writing.

A handful of other shows took home awards Monday night, including “The Diplomat” star Allison Janney for best supporting drama actress, Sally Field for lead actress in a limited series or TV movie for “Remarkably Bright Creatures” and “Task” star Tom Pelphrey for supporting drama actor.

The 2026 telecast was hosted by “Law & Order: SVU” star Mariska Hargitay, who kept the evening moving with some solid jokes, musical numbers, and lightning fast hair and costume changes. She also managed to get Taylor Swift in an “SVU”-inspired sketch during the ceremony.
