“Rise of The Conqueror,” also known as “Tamerlane: Rise of The Last Conqueror” is an action-packed historical epic following the true story of Timur, a fearless warrior who turned betrayal and disorder into one of history’s greatest empires.
In 14th-century Central Asia, as the Silk Road crumbles and rival factions tear the land apart, Timur emerges from exile. Stripped of everything, he fights to unite the fractured kingdoms, using strategy and sheer will to carve an empire from chaos. Undefeated in battle and widely regarded as one of history’s greatest military leaders and tacticians, not to mention one of its most brutal, Timur would found the Timurid Empire, which ruled over modern-day Afghanistan, Iran and Central Asia.
“’Rise of the Conqueror’ tells a compelling origin story, brought to life through large-scale practical action and expansive locations that give the film the scope and authority of a true historical epic,” said Brennan Lane, director of acquisitions and production at Well Go USA. “We are thrilled to bring this story to US audiences.”
