Bad Bunny Transforms Into an Old Man for Shocking Met Gala Look
by Jack Dunn · VarietyBad Bunny went through the time machine for the 2026 Met Gala. He arrived at the entertainment industry’s most prestigious party as an old man, complete with a walking cane, white hair and hyper-realistic face and hand make-up.
The look is an apparent nod to the Met’s “Costume Art” exhibit, which explores the interpretation and function of fashion on aging, pregnant and differently abled bodies.

Bad Bunny was not the only star to undergo a complete transformation for the Met Gala. Model and TV host Heidi Klum transformed herself into a marble statue, inspired by classical works such as the “Veiled Christ” by Giuseppe Sammartino and the “Veiled Vestal” by Raffaele Monti. It was a literal interpretation of this year’s Met Gala theme, “Fashion is Art,” crafted by designer Mike Marino.
Other stars making splashes with their looks include Emma Chamberlain, SZA, Serena Williams, Doechii, Kim Kardashian, Beyoncé, Sarah Paulson and Anne Hathaway.
Beyoncé is co-chair of this year’s Met Gala, along with Nicole Kidman, Venue Williams and Anna Wintour. Anthony Vaccarello and Zoë Kravitz head the gala host committee, which is comprised of Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Gwendoline Christie, Alex Consani, Misty Copeland, Elizabeth Debicki, Lena Dunham, Paloma Elsesser, Lisa, newly installed head of editorial content of Vogue U.S. Chloe Malle, Sam Smith, Teyana Taylor, Lauren Wasser, Anna Weyant, A’ja Wilson and Yseult.
Curated by Andrew Bolton, “Costume Art” examines “the centrality of the dressed body, juxtaposing objects from across the museum’s vast collection with historical and contemporary garments from the Institute,” according to the Met. It runs from May 10 to Jan. 10, 2027.
