Stevie Wonder Announces ‘Songs in the Key of Life’ 50th Anniversary Tour Dates

Stevie Wonder has announced dates for his “Songs in the Key of Life Performances – 50th Anniversary Tour,” a celebration of his generation-defining 1976 double album. The tour, promoted by Live Nation and produced by Wonder Productions, will see the iconic album performed in its entirety by the 25-time Grammy-winning artist.

The tour opens Oct 13 at Utilita Arena Birmingham before crossing Europe with stops in Paris, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Hannover, Cologne, Amsterdam and Dublin, then returning to the UK for shows in London, Manchester and Glasgow. The U.S. leg kicks off Nov 19 at Madison Square Garden in New York City, followed by stops in Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Detroit, before closing Dec 19 at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

With hit singles such as “Sir Duke,” “Isn’t She Lovely” and “I Wish,” “Songs in the Key of Life” earned Wonder the third of his three Grammy Awards for Album of the Year. The album went Diamond (10+ million copies sold) and was inducted into the Library of Congress’ National Recording Registry.

Tickets for the tour will be available starting with the Partner presale beginning Wednesday, September 9 at 10am local time for Europe and United Kingdom. The general on-sale starts Thursday, September 10 at 10am local time for North America (excluding Detroit) and Friday, September 11 at 10AM local time for Europe and United Kingdom. The general onsale for Detroit will start Tuesday, September 15at 10AM local time. Local pre-sales vary by market, check your local listings for more information.
