Madonna’s Manager Guy Oseary ‘Not Sure Yet’ She’ll Tour Following Sabrina Carpenter Coachella Performance and ‘Confessions II’ Release
by Marc Malkin · VarietyMadonna‘s most die-hard fans are hopeful that the Material Girl will tour again.
The anticipation has been intensifying following the announcement of her new album “Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II” and her surprise performance with Sabrina Carpenter at Coachella on Friday night.
“I’m not sure yet,” Madonna’s longtime manager Guy Oseary said Saturday when I asked if touring is on the table.

I caught up with Oseary at the Breakthrough Prize Ceremony in Santa Monica.
When I asked if he’d like to see Madonna on the road again, he said: “I want to see her happy so whatever makes her happy, I’m all there.”
Oseary took to his Instagram on Monday morning after this story originally posted to clarify his remarks. “Of course she will tour again,” he wrote. “She wants to share her music with her fans. not sure yet the plans. Stay Tuned.”
Oseary says the Coachella performance was hatched by Madonna and Carpenter themselves.
“Madonna told me that she and Sabrina talked about it,” he said. “It was not my idea. It was a brilliant idea and I think the core of it is what was shown last night, which is love.”
He also said, “Last night was just… I mean, I don’t think my feet touched the ground. It was so beautiful. I loved seeing the joy that she had. It was emotional. That opening was spectacular…It was a really special night and it was our 20th [Coachella] anniversary.”
Madonna performed in the Dance Tent in 2006. She joined Carpenter during her headlining performance to sing “Vogue,” “Like a Prayer” and a duet believed to be a track from the new “Confessions” album. Madonna, 67, wore the same lavender corset and boots she donned in 2006.
“Twenty years ago today, I performed at Coachella. I was in the Dance Tent and it was the first time I performed ‘Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part I’ in America, and that was such a thrill for me,” the Grammy winner told the crowd. “So you can imagine what a thrill it is for me to be back 20 years later, so it’s a like a full circle moment, you know, very meaningful for me.”
On Tuesday, Madonna wiped her Instagram. Her bio now reads “Time goes by so slowly…,” the first lyrics from the original album’s lead single, “Hung Up.” She released the first single, “I Feel So Free,” from “Part II” on Friday. The full album is set for release July 3.
Asked about Madonna’s guest starring role alongside Julia Garner in the next season of “The Studio” and her ongoing development of a biopic or limited series, Oseary, with a smile, politely declined to comment. “I can’t speak on that,” he said. “I’ll let [Madonna] speak on it.”
