Bang & Olufsen Marks 100 Years With Ultra-Limited Beolab 90 Titan Edition
by Joe Gallop · channelnewsDanish audio hi-fi brand Bang & Olufsen is celebrating its centenary with a bold reimagining of its flagship speaker.
The new Beolab 90 Titan Edition marks both 100 years of B&O and a decade since the original Beolab 90 debuted.
Crafted in the company’s exclusive Atelier workshop, each Titan Edition speaker features a 65kg hand-sandblasted aluminium cabinet, using volcanic rock particles to create a raw yet refined texture.
The faceted design exposes 18 high-end drivers, including seven tweeters, seven midrange drivers, three side/rear woofers and a 26cm front woofer, arranged for 360-degree sound dispersion.
Polished base panels, laser-engraved fasteners and machined aluminium rings around each driver highlight meticulous craftsmanship.
Even the top faceplate is milled from a single block of aluminium, taking 12 hours per piece, while subtle inscriptions honour Bang & Olufsen’s legacy.
With 8,200 watts of power per speaker, the Titan Edition delivers both precise “sweet-spot” listening and immersive room-filling audio.
“More than a celebration of our legacy, this edition showcases a level of craftsmanship and bespoke capability that only Bang & Olufsen can create,” says CEO Kristian Teär.
The Titan Edition is the first of five exclusive Beolab 90 variations planned for the centennial year, each designed to captivate collectors and audiophiles.
The centenary celebrations also include special editions of other iconic products, like the Beoplay H100 headphones, the Beosound A5 portable speaker and the Beosound A9 floor speaker.
In line with sustainability, this week B&O launched ‘Reloved’, a circularity initiative that gives its products a second life. Initially rolling out in Europe, it is set to expand to Australia in 2026.
