Molly-Mae addresses 'complicated' relationship with ex as Tommy Fury reveals 'real' reason for break-up
by Kimberly Nhundu · Wales OnlineMolly-Mae Hague has spoken out about her recent reunion with former fiancé Tommy Fury, acknowledging that their relationship is 'complicated.'
The pair's love story unfolded in the public eye when they met on Love Island in 2019. The 25-year-old celebrities have since welcomed a daughter, named Bambi, and were preparing for marriage before parting ways in August 2024.
However, they reportedly rekindled their romance at a New Year's Eve party last year, where they were seen sharing a kiss.
Now, the mother-of-one has clarified the situation, admitting that managing their relationship under the scrutiny of millions has been challenging. Speaking at the launch of her upcoming tell-all documentary Molly-Mae: Behind It All, she stated: "We are navigating a really complicated time in both of our lives, in the public eye, and I think this is a whole new territory for me."
"Obviously my relationship has always been in the public eye, but to deal with this break-up with millions of eyes watching, it is hard, and it is complicated", reports Lancs Live.
"And I think the reason why I don't comment on it, and why I don't speak about it on my YouTube, or publicly is because simply, we are both navigating it ourselves, and we both are figuring it out as adults and as parents, we're doing the best we can."
Molly-Mae expressed: "But I really do feel like the documentary is going to answer a lot of questions, and we also do touch on that situation, because I think the last thing I want is any confusion, and I don't ever want people to feel confused by what's going on, so we will try to explain."
Her forthcoming documentary series, launching on Amazon Prime this Friday, provides a glimpse into her life over the last six months. According to the entrepreneur, viewers will gain insight into how she manages her new fashion brand Maebe while also raising her daughter.
Although the former Love Island contestant hinted that the six-part documentary series will address the 'confusion' surrounding the break-up, which many believed was due to Tommy's infidelity, her ex has since spoken out about his role in the separation.
In an interview published by Men's Health on the same day as Molly-Mae's documentary premiere, the boxer disclosed that they broke up due to his struggles with alcohol.
"All I've been seeing for the past six months is 'Cheater', 'He slept with me!', 'He slept with this girl, he slept with that girl!' Complete and utter b****cks. We broke up because I had a problem with alcohol and I couldn't be the partner that I wanted to be anymore. It kills me to say it, but I couldn't. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink," he confessed.
Molly-Mae: Behind It All episodes 1-3 launch exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on January 17. The latter three episodes will drop in Spring 2025.
