Tahj Miles has teased he could make a huge return to Death In Paradise.

The Mr Loverman actor joined the BBC detective drama back in the tenth season as Marlon Pryce, a petty thief who was introduced to the policing team through a rehabilitation scheme. Tahj's character departed Saint Marie during the most recent season to move to Jamaica to support his younger sister, who had been given a scholarship to study there.

Many stars have come back to the show after leaving, including Camille Bordey and Florence Cassell. Tahj has teased he could make a big return to the show one day - but only if it fits in with the storyline and makes sense for viewers.

Speaking to Radio Times, he said: "I never say no to anything. My character didn't die, so the door's always open. But it just has to make sense. It all has to make sense. So just know that on my end, it made sense to me.

Marlon was a fan favourite character

"And if you don't see me on the show for the next two, three years, just know that it doesn't make sense in that moment in time, for whatever reason, whether it's just what I'm doing personally in my life, the direction they're going in on the show, the direction they want to bring the character back into. If I'm back, it's because it makes sense."

Tahj went on to add that he the door would be "open" for a return one day, if it worked with the plot.

"I don't like doing things that don't make sense. That's when we get into a whole bunch of problems. But never say never. The door's open. So we'll see, we'll see," he explained of a potential return to the show.

However, another star has ruled out a return to the show for now, insisting she had a "great time" but wanted to "move on".

Asked if she would come back in an Instagram Q&A session with fans, Josephine Jobert - who plays Florence Cassell - said: "Not really. I had a great time and I made the best out of it. I have amazing memories and met amazing people too. But it's time to move on.

"I think I can safely say no. I've already left and come back many times and I've definitely done my time on the show. I've finally been able to say goodbye to Florence and I am very grateful to have been part of this project that has brought so many lovely things in my life. I am also happy to be able to move on and take part in new projects."
