Kelly Brook has revealed that she was cautioned about the potential strain on her relationship with husband Jeremy Parisi as a result of participating in Celebrity Race Across The World.

The pair joined ITV's This Morning hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley on Wednesday (September 18) to discuss their experiences on the BBC reality programme ahead of the final episode airing.

Kelly shared: "You don't know how hard it's going to me. They try and sit you down and say 'this is going to really hard and the marriage might not survive', followed by a chuckle.

She added: "I think we were ready for an adventure and we hadn't had a honeymoon either so it was a win, win for Jeremy because he didn't have to pay for a honeymoon. We've been together 10 years and been married two years and we've had all sorts of ups and downs in life and I think we were ready."

Kelly and Jeremy have been competing against the likes of Jeff Brazier and son Freddy, Kola Bokinni and cousin Mary Ellen, and Scott Mills and husband Sam, all vying for the title. Their journey kicked off in Belem, Northern Brazil - the gateway to the Amazon - and passed through five checkpoints across South America, aiming for the finish line in the Andes, Frutillar in Southern Chile.

The final leg of the journey airs tonight (September 18) and Kelly has confessed that she's "quite disappointed". The model expressed: "I think we are quite disappointed in ourselves. We feel that we are good racers, we've made some good decisions and we've also budgeted well.

So, to be neck and neck with everybody feels a little bit like all of that has been for nothing, because we had hoped that we would advance a lot further than everyone. ""We have sacrificed a lot, reports the Mirror.

We've sacrificed things we've wanted to see and Jeremy has sacrificed meals. Having made all those sacrifices and still having another week to go, it's quite disheartening.

This might be our hardest checkpoint to leave. I think we feel a little bit defeated and we don't know how it will pan out.

Mentally, emotionally and physically, we'll try and give that last bit of energy to take us to the finish. "Jeremy chimed in: "It's been weird, because in some legs, Jeff and Freddy have been in front of us for 24 hours or another group has been 6, 7 or even 8 hours behind us but we are now all so close together.

You realise that anybody can win. I am still confident, and I know I can finish it but it's going to be quite challenging to finish this in three or four days."

Celebrity Race Across the World continues tonight on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 9pm
