Tommy Fury has announced an update to his latest career move just weeks after his breakup with fellow Love Island star Molly Mae Hague.

The 25 year old boxer and reality TV personality took to Instagram back in March to share his excitement about becoming an author, stating: "I'm proud to announce... I have written my first book!"

In his post, Tommy detailed the content of his book, saying: "Find out what my life is like juggling many identities: A professional boxer, TV star, mental health advocate, fiance and father. Coming this October, but available to pre-order now... link on my story! #LightningCanStrikeTwice."

Molly-Mae Hague, who met Tommy on Love Island in 2019, initially expressed her support by commenting: "So proud of you." However, the couple, who had been together for five years, have since announced their split.

Earlier this month, both Molly-Mae and Tommy shared separate statements on social media confirming their breakup, reports the Manchester Evening News. On August 14, Molly-Mae was the first to break the news to her followers with a heartfelt message on her Instagram Story: "Never in a million years did I think I'd ever have to write this. After five years of being together, I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way. I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy's relationship has come to an end."

Molly-Mae Hague touched hearts as she addressed her one year old daughter, Bambi: "I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority. I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years. You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it's right to share this with you all."

Less than an hour after Molly-Maes heartfelt post, Tommy shared his own announcement on his Instagram story, saying: "I am heartbroken to share that Molly and I have decided to end our relationship."

He continued: "The past five years have led to us having our beautiful baby girl, Bambi and I will be forever thankful to Molly for making me a dad. Bambi is our priority. Please respect our privacy, and our families' privacy, as we navigate our way through this difficult time."

Now Tommy has indicated he will be open about their separation as he teased an 'extra chapter' in his upcoming book reflecting his current life events. On Tuesday (September 17), he told his followers that it 'hasn't been easy,' hinting at the personal insights the new book addition will offer.

In a video message to his fans, he said: "Hey guys, hope you're all doing okay. As you all know, the past month for me hasn't been easy but I've been having a lot of questions regarding my book Lightning Can Strike Twice. I just want to come on here and confirm that the book is still coming out next month and it's still available to preorder."

Tommy went on to say: 'I've also tried to keep it as current as I can for you guys. I've wrote an extra chapter, obviously discussing what's been going on this past month.

"So yeah, just wanted to say that the book is still going ahead." The sportsman and reality star then took some time out to spend with his one year old daughter Bambi. He posted a picture of her getting creative with paint and shared some of the results.

Bambi's footprints were imprinted onto paper alongside a poem which read: "My little feet with my tine toes, isn't it strange how quickly time goes? Footprints so small but this will not last, I'll change each day and grow so fast. These two little footprints will help you remember how little I was back in September."

As he snapped a photo of himself holding the new artwork, seemingly from Bambi's nursery or day care, the former Love Island star shared it on his Instagram Story along with a string of faces holding back tears emojis.
