ITV I'm A Celeb announce new twist ahead of launch show set to shake-up the camp

The anticipation is building as the new series of ITV's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! is due to air this weekend.

On Sunday evening, ITV audiences will see a new group of campmates bid farewell to their glamorous lifestyles as they venture into the I'm a Celebrity jungle down under.

But it won't be a smooth start for them, as the celebrities will have to hit the ground running. ITV has teased that the kick-off of this series will be the 'most competitive' yet.

After being told to get into pairs, they'll face a series of challenges, competing against their fellow campmates in a race to cross the finish line first.

During the competition, the celebrity duos will have chances to overtake and strive for victory. The triumphant pair will enjoy special privileges and an easier transition into jungle life.

Not only will they become the first camp leaders, but the two victors will also be exempt from chores and will get to sleep in the Leaders' lodge, running the camp exactly as they wish.

Within the luxurious lodge, the campmates will find two comfortable beds with mattresses, protection from the rain and a good night's sleep with plush duvets and pillows.

ITV viewers might spot a change this year as the infamous camp leader chair has been revamped. Instead of having one single throne, there will now be two red leatherbound seats for the two equal leaders of the camp.

The pair at the helm must collaborate constantly to govern and ensure that their fellow campmates complete their designated tasks.

But there's more; the camp is on edge as ITV has hinted at a major twist that promises to turn the game on its head for the participants.

This hidden game-changer will provide the camp leaders with unprecedented control and additional privileges.

Ten fresh faces are set to brave the Australian outback this year, with stars like Oti Mabuse, Alan Halsall, Jane Moore, Dean McCullough, Tulisa Contostavlos, and Melvin Odoom entering the jungle.

Joining them in the latest series are television figure Coleen Rooney, boxing legend Barry McGuigan, influencer Grace 'GK' Barry, and musician Danny Jones.

While the show only began on Sunday evening, it appears one celebrity has surged ahead in the odds to claim victory over the entire series. McFly's Danny Jones, also known for his role on The Voice UK, is favoured with odds of 9/4 to take home the title.

Ladbrokes' Nicola McGeady remarked: "Danny Jones is completely dominating the jungle betting before an episode has even been aired. Punters are confident that he will shine in the camp, with almost half of bets going in his favour."

Hot on his heels is the well-loved Alan Halsall from Coronation Street, whose chances of winning stand at 5/1, while Loose Women's Jane Moore is third in line, with her odds at 6/1.

However, at the other end of the spectrum, Jane Moore finds herself at risk of being the first eviction with her current odds of emerging victorious at 33/1.

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! airs Sunday 17th November at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
