Liverpool Comic Con 2026: 30 people who stole the show on day one with incredible cosplay

Liverpool Comic Con has returned for its May 2026 edition. The biannual comic convention has taken over Liverpool's Exhibition Centre, bringing with it thousands of visitors dressed in incredible cosplay representing their favourite video game, television and film characters. The event remains a popular date in the city's calendar, with thousands of people attending every year.
The ECHO was at the opening day of the weekend-long event as visitors arrived in their amazing outfits. From Buzz Lightyear to Doctor Who, there were plenty of visitors who stole the show.
Today (Saturday, May 2), visitors had the chance to meet some of the biggest names in Hollywood including Stranger Things stars Noah Schnap and Caleb McLaughlin, Star Trek legend William Shatner and The X-Files actress Gillian Anderson.
There is also the chance to get pictures taken with props and set builds, play in modern and retro gaming areas and look through unique gifts at its trader and artist areas.
