Love Is Blind's Madison Picked a Different Wedding Dress Before Joe Split

· The Fresno Bee

Love Is Blind season 9 star Madison Maidenberg is reminiscing on almost becoming Mrs. Joe Ferrucci, revealing she considered walking down the aisle in a dress that no one got to see - until now - prior to their breakup.

Madison, 28, gave the first-ever look at the bridal gown she selected for their big day via Instagram Stories on Thursday, October 16. "Fun fact, I actually picked a different dress that you do not see me pick on screen. This was the one," she captioned her post.

In the photo, she wore a gorgeous ivory design featuring straps and a soft scoop neckline that was fitted through the bodice, waist and hips with a subtle flare mid-thigh.

"I loved the back," she wrote in a follow-up post, while showing how the dress featured an elegant bow as well as fabric that flowed into a medium-length train.

"I also did a private dress fitting off camera the day before," she confessed, giving fans a peek at a number of different looks she tried on including another lacy backless number.

Viewers saw Madison select a strapless dress with a plunging sweetheart neckline and a peplum bottom on the show. "RIP," she captioned a post with the gown in the wake of their split.

Madison said that her experience on LIB taught her many valuable lessons, noting that she has the "most supportive family" who have rallied beside her.

"My time on Love Is Blind, has been a rocky one to say the least, I had the incredible opportunity to really reflect on myself and I'm thankful to have done the work, and to have an incredible therapist but the biggest takeaway is that I did in fact, find love in the pods," the UX/UI designer posted in a statement via her Stories, sharing the silver lining. "Through my friendships with the other incredible women and most importantly in falling back in love with myself."

Although their connection started out on a promising note, viewers saw their romance fizzle out slowly but surely. Joe, 29, notably had second thoughts about taking the plunge while trying on wedding suits, later telling Madison she's not his "person" but he still has love for her.

"I definitely crashed out. At that certain point, [I'm thinking], ‘Why am I going through these motions if I have in my head that, ultimately, I'm not going to be able to say yes on that wedding day?'" he told Us Weekly exclusively earlier this week.

Fans also noticed cracks in their relationship when Joe, who works in sales, made a comment about normally dating "more petite women." (Madison has since revealed on the "Viall Files" podcast that she "developed an eating disorder" from his comments.)

"Obviously, kind of a horrible feeling on my end if that's something that affected her long-term or for a little while after," Joe told Us in hindsight. "It was a surprising comment. Madison's always been very confident in her body image, but you never know how somebody's really feeling inside. I didn't mean it to affect her in that way. It's not a good thing to hear."
