Brianna Chickenfry Claps Back at Zach Bryan Diss Track With Taylor Swift Nod

· The Fresno Bee

Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia is leaning into her feelings with a little help from Taylor Swift after ex Zach Bryan released an alleged diss track about her.

LaPaglia, 26, seemingly responded to the rumored diss song on Friday, January 9, by sharing a clip of Swift's "Actually Romantic" song playing from Spotify via her Instagram Stories.

The track off 2025's The Life of a Showgirl album is about someone constantly bringing up Swift's name, and how it's actually a compliment despite their best efforts to slander her.

"It's actually sweet all the time you've spent on me. It's honestly wild," Swift sings in the song.

Us Weekly has reached out to Bryan's rep for comment.

Some fans are speculating that LaPaglia is in a similar mindset after Bryan, 29, released his newest album, With Heaven on Top, featuring a song titled, "Skin."

The song takes aim at an ex as he depicts the pain of taking "a blade to my old tattoos" to drain "the blood between me and you."

Bryan sings, "I'm taking a blade to my own skin / And I ain't ever touching yours again."

He later asks, "How do tattoos take to your skin? / Is your higher ground ever sinking? / Do you love people just to win when it's over?"

Shortly after the song was released, fans started to draw comparisons about the lyrics and Bryan's relationship with LaPaglia.

The pair, who called it quits in October 2024, previously revealed that they had matching tattoos.

LaPaglia got "How lucky are we?" inked on her upper arm in 2023. Bryan reportedly got the same phrase tattooed on his body amid their relationship - and he used the line in his song "28," which was released in 2024.

When it comes to his 2026 track "Skin," some think Bryan took a jab at LaPaglia again with the line, "Do you still talk s*** on all your friends? / I'm here to take it all to the chin / This time stone cold sober."

The country singer announced his split from LaPaglia in October 2024 after dating for more than one year.

LaPaglia later claimed that she was blindsided by Bryan's public announcement about their split and accused him of emotional abuse during their relationship. She also alleged that he offered her $12 million to not speak publicly about their romance, which she said she denied. (Us Weekly reached out to Bryan's rep for comment at the time.)

Bryan has since moved on with Samantha Leonard whom he wed in December 2025 after first being seen together that June.

After news of their wedding broke, LaPaglia seemingly poked fun at the union and her ex via a TikTok video. She shared a clip of herself singing to Swift's "Mastermind."

"Checkmate, I couldn't lose," she lip-synced in the clip posted on January 2.

Bryan, for his part, confirmed his and Leonard's marriage via social media on December 31, sharing a black-and-white photo from their nuptials in Spain.

"Tougher than the rest," the musician captioned his post, which included a video of him performing the Bruce Springsteen song with the same name at their reception.
