The Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remastered is real, and we’ll know more very soon
Bethesda, the studio behind Starfield and Doom The Dark Ages, is about to share fresh information on The Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remastered.
by Reid McCarter · PCGamesNIt’s been nearly two decades since The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion first came out, with only Skyrim and The Elder Scrolls Online as main series follow-ups in the time since. This is probably the reason there’s been such a fervor surrounding the rumours of a remastered version of Oblivion that have been swirling around the internet for the past several years, growing in volume over the last few weeks. Now, we’ve finally received confirmation that The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered is not only real, but that we should have all the facts on its coming launch very soon.
The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered has been discussed by reputable sources for some time now, with leaked screenshots of the open-world game surfacing recently to lend further credence to claims of the project’s existence. Today, the official Bethesda X account finally confirmed the remaster. It posted a screenshot of a burning eye and the Roman numeral IV with no caption other than “Tomorrow, 11:00 am EST” and links to the company’s Twitch and YouTube pages.
Given that our Oblivion Remastered release date estimate points to a possible ‘shadow drop,’ the game very well could be made available just after Bethesda’s livestream announcement concludes tomorrow. Because Bethesda is owned by Microsoft, it’s equally likely that Oblivion Remastered could launch on Game Pass as well.
We’ll know more tomorrow, following Bethesda’s stream at 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm BST.
