Is Assassin’s Creed Shadows coming to Game Pass? Microsoft’s subscription service has played host to plenty of Ubisoft’s big-name titles over the years, with plenty of Assassin’s Creed goodness currently available to download and play for no additional cost.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows marks the latest and (hopefully) greatest videogame installment of the storied RPG franchise, granting us the AC ninja experience we’ve all been craving for well over a decade. But will Naoe and Yasuke join Eivor, Bayek, Kassandra, and Alexios on Game Pass?

Assassin’s Creed Shadows game pass

Assassin’s Creed Shadows has not been confirmed for Game Pass. The game’s official Xbox page doesn’t note it is coming to Game Pass at launch, and it’s currently unclear if it will ever join the service.

The Ubisoft titles that are playable through Game Pass currently come from the catalog of the publisher’s base subscription, Ubisoft+, while new releases are exclusively tied to Ubisoft+’s Premium tier. As such, while it’s unlikely we’ll see any sort of Game Pass crossover for a few years, you can at least pick up a Ubisoft+ Premium subscription for a month and play Shadows when it launches on day one.

Currently, Valhalla is the most recent Assassin’s Creed game available on the service, with October 2023’s Mirage still nowhere to be seen. As such, we’d expect Shadows to join the Game Pass games list a year or so after Basim’s voyage to Game Pass, if it ever materializes.

And that’s the latest on Assassin Creed Shadows’ Game Pass hopes. With the Assassin’s Creed Shadows release date just around the corner, make sure you’re up to date on all the latest game info, as well as the Assassin’s Creed Shadows voice actors who are lending their talents to the upcoming epic.
