Dec. 29 (UPI) -- After 3 1/2 decades of work of massive albums sales, hugely lucrative tours and a host of other business ventures, Beyonce has joined a short list of musicians: The billionaires.

As a result of her Cowboy Carter tour this year, which was the highest-grossing tour of 2025, Beyonce has become the fifth musician to become a billionaire, Forbes reported.

She joins Jay-Z, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen and Rihanna as the only five musicians that have built a ten-figure bank account, and is one of just 22 entertainers to have bagged a billion dollars over their careers.

Beyonce's husband, Jay-Z, joined the billionaire's club in 2019, when Forbes reported that his fortune "conservatively" totaled $1 billion.

Between the Cowboy Carter tour, as well as merchandise sold at the concerts, Forbes estimates that Beyonce was the third-highest earning musician in the world at $148 million before taxes.

Beyonce formed the group Girl's Tyme in 1990, when she was 9 years old, which became the Grammy-winning group Destiny's Child, according to NBC.

Once she launched her solo career in 2003, however, Beyonce found massive, increasing success with each album and tour, culminating in the $500 million Renaissance tour in 2023, triple-Grammy winning album Cowboy Carter in 2025 and this year's Cowboy Carter Tour, which grossed more than $400 million dollars.

In addition to recording and performing, she founded Parkwood Entertainment in 2010 as a method of controlling her entire career herself, which has helped her to earn more from all of her productions.

Aside from music, Beyonce also has added products to her coterie of endeavors, including a hair care brand, whiskey label and a clothing line.

Forbes noted, however, that most of her personal wealth has been earned because of music catalog is "enormously valuable" and she has been able to make so much off her tours -- because she bankrolls them herself.
