Betsy Brandt to join 'Mayfair Witches' Season 3

Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Season 3 of Anne Rice's Mayfair Witches will star Breaking Bad actress Betsy Brandt, AMC announced Wednesday.

Brandt, 52, will portray a character named Katherine, but additional details about the role have not yet been released.

According to a press release, Season 3 is set to examine "the mythology of witchcraft, introduce new 'spellbound' families and feature some of the historical happenings of Salem, Mass., the infamous town of witch trials and folklore."

Alexandria Daddario, Harry Hamlin, Tongayi Chirisa and Alyssa Jirrels also star.

Other shows in the Anne Rice universe include Interview with the Vampire and Talamasca: The Secret Order.
