Netflix releases final message from the late Eric Dane
by Karen Butler · UPIFeb. 21 (UPI) -- Grey's Anatomy and Euphoria actor Eric Dane recorded a message for Netflix's Famous Last Words program before his death from ALS this week.
The streaming service released the footage, which was taped in November, on Friday.
He died Thursday about a year after disclosing he had been diagnosed with the disease.
"I hope I've demonstrated that you can face anything, you can face the end of your days, you can face hell with dignity," Dane, 53, said.
"Fight, girls, and hold your heads high. Billie and Georgia, you are my heart, you are my everything. Goodnight. I love you."
Dane also urged his teen daughters to live in the present, fall in love and choose their friends wisely.
Dane announced in December that he was writing a memoir about his life and career.
Last year, he starred in the Prime Video drama series, Countdown, and guest starred on NBC's Brilliant Minds as a firefighter confronting ALS.
His other credits include Charmed, Marley & Me, The Last Ship, Americana and Bad Boys: Ride or Die.
He has been married to actress Rebecca Gayheart since 2004.
