BBC Strictly Come Dancing viewers have rumbled Amy Dowden's future after spotting tell-tale signs. The BBC pro dancer was rushed to hospital last Saturday, during the live show, and will be replaced by Lauren Oakley who'll partner her celebrity partner JB Gill this weekend.

Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left rejoicing after Lauren took to Instagram to share some news. Hinting she will be elsewhere when Strictly is back on over the weekend, Birmingham born star Lauren posted to her stories: "Guys! It's been a bit busy..."

"BUT I'm still teaching my class THIS Sunday & would love to see you there..." A Strictly Come Dancing spokesman said: "Amy is doing much better. She is delighted that Lauren is able to step in for rehearsals and to perform in Saturday's show for JB Gill's Couple's Choice dance.

"We are all hopeful that Amy will be back to dance with JB next week." Paramedics were called to the show's Hertfordshire base after 9:00pm on Saturday evening following reports of a "medical emergency", it has been revealed in the wake of the episode.

A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "We were called just after 9pm on Saturday to attend a medical emergency at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood. An ambulance was sent to the scene. One patient, an adult female, was transported to Barnet Hospital for further care."

Amy and JB climbed to number five on the Strictly leaderboard after being awarded a collective score of 32 from show judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel-Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke.- A statement from Dowden's spokesperson confirmed: "Amy was feeling unwell and so an ambulance was called as a precaution."

The spokesperson went on, saying: "She is feeling much better and would like to thank the Strictly family for their love and concern."
