Scissor Sisters announce huge reunion tour celebrating 20 years since debut album - how to get tickets

Huge noughties band Scissor Sisters have announced plans for a reunion tour in 2025 - celebrating 20 years since their debut album. The band are set to perform their first live shows in more than 12 years in May 2025.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the release of their debut album 'Scissor Sisters'. It was the UK's best-selling album of 2004 - selling more than three million copies worldwide.

Scissor Sisters will open their tour in Nottingham on Friday, May 16, 2025, before playing multiple venues across the UK - ending at Dublin's 3Arena on Wednesday, May 28. The band will play at Birmingham's Utilita Arena on Sunday, May 25.

Lead singer Jake Shears said: "It’s the 20th anniversary of our debut album, so it really feels like the right time to revisit all the intense excitement of that moment. I think the impetus for this reunion was really a YouTube screening of Scissor Sisters: Live at The O2 that happened during lockdown.

"I don't think I'd seen that show since it was filmed in 2007, but we were all kind of surprised by how great it was. And chatting with fans during the screening really brought back what a special moment it was for all of us."

Singer Ana Matronic will not join the 2025 tour as she has other projects ongoing. Multi-instrumentalist Babydaddy and guitarist Del Marquis will both return.

How to get tickets

Tickets will be available for pre-sale from 10am on Wednesday, November 6. General sale tickets will be available on Friday, November 8, from 10am.

More information will be announced on the Scissor Sisters' website, where you can sign up for the pre-sale through Ticketmaster.

Tickets for the Birmingham show will be available through Utilita Arena's ticket partner AXS. Their pre-sale starts at 10am on Thursday, November 7 and you can sign up here.
