BBC Strictly Come Dancing's Craig Revel Horwood has apologised to Anton Du Beke for an "embarrassing" blunder five years ago. Craig, who is one of four judges used by the BBC show, says he was was "speechless" after making a blunder while giving Anton feedback during his time as a pro dancer.

Du Beke was a pro on the show before swapping his dancing shoes for a spot on the judging table alongside Craig, who is a renowned West End star and performer, as well as head judge Shirley Ballas and also Motsi Mabuse too.

During the 20th anniversary special on Saturday (December 21) night, Craig addressed his critique of BBC EastEnders star Emma Barton and Anton five years ago, when they danced a salsa to a theme of Austin Powers.

"I slightly was distracted with the wig I have to say and the fake teeth that you have in," Craig said. Excruciatingly, Craig was then informed that they were actually Anton's real teeth - sparking a grovelling apology from him.

Craig coined it "teeth gate". Anton said: "I can't believe you thought they were false teeth." Craig asked: "They're not fake?" before head judge Shirley stepped in, telling the judge: "They're not fake teeth, they're his own teeth."

And Bruno Tonioli - who Anton eventually replaced as a judge - said: "They're his real teeth!" Emma, Anton's dance partner, found the situation "slightly embarrassing", and Craig apologised, telling the future judge: "I'm sorry Anton".

Anton said: "That is literally the first time I'd ever seen you speechless." Presrnter Tess Daly admitted she had "never laughed that hard on live television", with Craig saying "Well I can only apologise. I'm giving my sincere apologies so that everyone knows at home -".

Anton said: "That you have softened. You have changed." Craig said: "That I'm very sorry."
