Strictly's Aljaž and Tasha enjoy drink at 'gorgeous' canal side pub in Birmingham before live tour

by · Birmingham Live

Strictly Come Dancing stars Aljaž and Tasha stopped off for a drink in a 'gorgeous' city centre pub just days before the live tour opening night. Strictly Come Dancing Live kicks off tomorrow (Friday, January 17) night at Utilita Arena and the couples have been enjoying the city this last week.

It's been a difficult week for Love Island star Tasha as she split from her boyfriend of three years Andrew Le Page, but Aljaž was quick to cheer her up by showing her the sights of Brum.

Speaking to Birmingham Live today at the live tour press call, Tasha said: "We went to this one pub, it was along the canal. It was really cute."

Aljaž added: "It was on the canal, if you go from here to the Mailbox, it was on the right hand side right by an Italian and it was gorgeous there."

The pair added they're both 'so happy' to be back dancing with everyone for the tour after a little 'holiday'. Aljaž said: "When we're doing the normal show, of course we only see each other on Saturdays. So the live tour is really the time when we can all hang out together and have fun. It's been so nice to be back with our friends."

Tasha said: "That's been the best part really. I'm so excited for the tour."
