by James Rodger, https://www.facebook.com/jamesrodgerjournalist · Birmingham LiveHeinz has axed a popular diet meal range leaving customers gutted. Its Weight Watchers frozen meal range has now been axed from stores, the frozen food and soup specialist - which also makes condiments - has confirmed to its shoppers.
Writing on X, formerly Twitter, one user said: "Hi can you advise whether frozen weight watchers meals are discontinued, particularly sweet and Sour Chicken and Chicken and Broccoli melt." Representatives from Heinz told The Sun the range is no more, and said they were aware the move would leave fans "disappointed".
They said: “We’ve taken the strategic decision to streamline our UK portfolio which includes discontinuing our frozen line with Weight Watchers. This change will enable us to focus on the product lines that deliver the most value for our customers and pave the way for new innovation that meets changing consumer tastes, lifestyle needs and preferences.”

In a gushing four-star review of the Lasagne, one Asda shopper wrote: "I buy this lasagne regularly, as it tastes good and is low calories. The portion is quite small so I have salad or veg with it." But a second fumed: "Hardly any meat and what it had was bouncy horrible texture, two sheets of pasta, only thing good was the taste of sauce, won't be gaining weight from this for sure!!"
"I have been buy WW meals for years and next to my favourite, this is my second choice. It is very tasty though mind you the picture on the box never looks anything like how it comes out of my microwave but I just accept it. However, I do find it tasty which is so important when cutting calories," another said.
"This item, was very tasty, calories already stated on the box, easy to follow instructions," another said. The range included Chicken Curry and Beef Lasagne as well as Sweet & Sour Chicken.
