Death Stranding Isolations Is a Disney+ Anime Series That Tells an Original Story
Out in 2027
by Stephen Tailby · Push SquareKojima Productions is throwing everything at Death Stranding right now. There are not only two movie adaptations in the works, one live action and the other animated, but now an original anime series has also been revealed.
Death Stranding Isolations is its working title, and it'll be streaming exclusively on Disney+ when it arrives in 2027.
Hideo Kojima is executive producing the series, and announced the anime at the Disney+ Originals Preview in Hong Kong.
Death Stranding Isolations will tell a totally new story separate from the games, with E&H Production handling the animation.
Other details are thin on the ground, but it seems the series will centre on the two characters in the above artwork.
"Somewhere in North America, just as Sam Bridges walks through the continent in order to save America, the someones are also trying to deal with their isolation in their own way. An old man trying to realize salvation through ways outside of the connection advocated by Bridges. A female warrior who tries to kickstart a world of constant fighting. A boy with a grudge against Bridges. A girl who embraces loneliness. On the precipice of the end of humanity and the world, their fates and hopes converge, as another story of Death Stranding begins."
Again, this is targeting 2027, so we won't be seeing much of this for a while. What are your hopes for Death Stranding Isolations? Tell us in the comments section below.
