Feature: Did Your Game Awards 2025 Predictions Come True? The Quiz Results Are In
Did you beat TGA 2025?
by Robert Ramsey · Push SquareLast week, ahead of The Game Awards 2025, we asked Push Square readers to try and predict the big announcements of Geoff Keighley's show. And now, the results are in...
You were presented with 20 yes or no questions to answer as a community, covering reveals, release dates, and frankly wild speculation.
In truth, this year's event didn't have that many megaton surprises, but it did provide us with some interesting quiz results, so read on to find out whether your predictions were on the mark.
Question 1: Will Geoff Keighley be wearing a bow tie when he first appears on stage? (1,986 votes)
42% Yes
58% No
Correct!
Geoff wasn't even wearing a tie this year, never mind a bow tie. We're off to a good start.
Question 2: Will Marvel's Wolverine get a new trailer during the show? (2,013 votes)
49.83% Yes
50.17% No
Correct!
This might be the closest 50-50 split we've ever had in one of these predictions quizzes. Fortunately for you, just seven votes pushed 'No' over the line — and that turned out to be correct, as Marvel's Wolverine was nowhere to be seen.
Question 3: Will Phantom Blade Zero's promised release date be sooner than 1st May 2026? (1,887 votes)
35% Yes
65% No
Correct!
As promised, Phantom Blade Zero did finally get a release date, but we're going to have to wait until September to get our grubby hands on it. You're three out of three so far!
Question 4: Will new Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls characters be revealed? (1,857 votes)
61% Yes
39% No
Wrong!
Oh dear, there goes the streak. New character reveals for Marvel Tokon seemed like the kind of thing that would be crammed into the middle of a show like this, but the anticipated fighting game didn't show up at all.
Question 5: Will Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 win the most awards of any nominated game? (1,975 votes)
93% Yes
7% No
Correct!
Well, the vast, vast majority of you believed in the Expedition 33 hype — and you were right to. The RPG won the most awards of any The Game Awards nominee in the event's history.
Question 6: Will Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3 be revealed? (1,937 votes)
33% Yes
67% No
Correct!
Well done on this one, because it felt like The Game Awards would be the perfect venue for a big Part 3 announcement. As it happens, the final instalment in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy is probably a bit further off than a lot of people think.
Question 7: Will more than five different Muppets appear during the show? (1,846 votes)
18% Yes
82% No
Correct!
Wow, you were surprisingly confident in this one, and it paid off. Despite Geoff's obsession with the famous puppets, only Miss Piggy and the... dog one showed up. Look, we're not experts, okay?
Question 8: Will Ghost of Yotei win more than one award? (1,927 votes)
41% Yes
59% No
Correct!
Ghost of Yotei was, er, ghosted at The Game Awards 2025, as it didn't win a single award across numerous nominations.
Question 9: Will a new Persona game be announced? (1,879 votes)
16% Yes
84% No
Correct!
The temptation of hoping that Persona 6 is somehow just around the corner is always present, but you didn't let that cloud your judgement. We didn't even get yet another Persona 5 spin-off!
Question 10: Will Kratos appear at any point during the show? (1,893 votes)
47% Yes
53% No
Correct!
This was quite close, but the cynics amongst you won out in the end. We have no idea where these long-rumoured God of War games are.
Question 11: Will Onimusha: Way of the Sword get a summer 2026 release date? (1,799 votes)
68% Yes
32% No
Wrong!
Nope, the new Onimusha wasn't present at all during the event. We can only assume that Capcom will give it a date during some other show in early 2026, like a State of Play or the publisher's own broadcast. This is just your second wrong answer so far!
Question 12: Will ARC Raiders beat Battlefield 6 to the award for Best Multiplayer? (1,830 votes)
65% Yes
35% No
Correct!
Yep, the hype for ARC Raiders just seems unstoppable right now, and that carried the extraction shooter beyond the sheer popularity of Battlefield 6.
Question 13: Will the rumoured Divinity reveal from Larian Studios come in the form of a CG trailer? (1,781 votes)
76% Yes
24% No
Correct!
Ah come on, this one was easy! Of course Larian's new RPG — which could be years away — settled for a CG trailer. And it was bloody horrifying.
Question 14: Will three or more remakes / remasters be announced during the show? (1,835 votes)
77% Yes
23% No
Wrong!
Despite the industry's continued milking of old properties through the magic of remakes and remasters, only one of them was actually announced during The Game Awards 2025 — and that was Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis. Yeah, we can't believe it either.
Question 15: Will Death Stranding 2 win an award? (1,837 votes)
79% Yes
21% No
Wrong!
Much like Ghost of Yotei, Death Stranding 2 didn't see a single award (because Clair Obscur basically took them all). We're left wondering whether Kojima's ended his friendship with Geoff.
Question 16: Will Assassin's Creed 4 Resynced finally be announced during the show? (1,781 votes)
65% Yes
35% No
Wrong!
Even with all of the leaks and rumours swirling in the weeks leading up to the show, the Assassin's Creed 4 remake is still in limbo. Ubisoft will surely reveal this one in the near future, right?
Question 17: Will a new game based on a popular manga / anime property be revealed? (1,742 votes)
70% Yes
30% No
Wrong!
This was another tricky question that seemed like a relatively safe bet — but there was actually a distinct lack of existing manga and anime properties at this year's event.
Question 18: Will FromSoftware announce a new game? (1,803 votes)
25% Yes
75% No
Correct!
It's probably a bit too soon after Elden Ring, innit? You're back on track after four wrong answers in a row!
Question 19: Will Bloodborne be mentioned? (1,813 votes)
19% Yes
81% No
Correct!
It's tradition to put an evil Bloodborne question in these prediction quizzes, and once again, the PS4 classic wasn't mentioned in any capacity. The 19% who voted yes will simply never stop believing, will you?
Question 20: Will Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 win Game of the Year? (1,860 votes)
93% Yes
7% No
Correct!
No one saw this coming! Of course Clair Obscur won Game of the Year — it's just about the most glazed video game in existence at this point.
Final Score: 14/20
Hey, that's not a bad score. Granted, it would have been much more impressive had you not gone on that losing streak near the end, but no one said this would be easy! Well done everyone, and here's hoping that you'll beat this score next year.
