Netflix confirms date for new Agatha Christie series with star-studded cast
· GOSS.ieNetflix have confirmed the premiere date for the new Agatha Christie series with a star-studded cast.
With an all-star cast that includes Martin Freeman as The Responder and Helena Bonham Carter as Lady Caterham, the series is set to launch on the streaming service on January 15.
The trailer opens with a dead body and a sundial before building anticipation to a scene in a country home where a man says: “Someone in this room knows more than they are telling us.”
The show’s official synopsis reads: “England. 1925. At a lavish country house party, a practical joke appears to have gone horribly, murderously wrong.”
“It will be up to the unlikeliest of sleuths – the fizzingly inquisitive Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent – to unravel a chilling plot that will change her life, cracking wide open the country house mystery.”
“A witty, epic and fast-paced drama from the Queen Of Crime, Agatha Christie, is brought to life in a thrilling new version for Netflix.”
Mia McKenna-Bruce, who was recently announced to be joining a star-studded cast for the Beatles quartet films as Ringo Starr’s first wife, Maureen Starkey, will play the leading role of Bundle Brent.
The Seven Dials Mystery was first published in 1929 and took place in London during that decade.
Over the years, the BBC has adapted a number of Agatha Christie’s books for television, including Towards Zero this year.
Murder is Easy, which was also adapted by the BBC and released in 2023, is another recent adaptation.
