Love Island: All Stars has been hit with over a thousand Ofcom complaints.

The hit reality show has been on our screens for the last few weeks, and has delivered plenty of romance and fiery drama.

However, some viewers have expressed concerns that the drama has gone too far this series, leading fans to log official complaints.

According to The Sun, over a thousand complaints have been submitted in recent days, citing the ongoing rift between All Stars contestants Scott van-der-Sluis and Sean Stone.

The pair have been in a feud since the very beginning of the series, when Scott entered the show as the first bombshell and labelled sweet business owner Sean the “worst Islander ever”.

Just a few days later, the reality stars fought again when Scott called Sean’s behaviour “snakey”. The confrontation led Sean to claim that Scott was “bullying” him, and he was left in tears.

According to The Sun, on January 27, the date that the argument aired, Ofcom received 1,590 complaints.

The regulator also got 152 complaints on the previous day, January 26.

ITV have yet to speak out about the complaints.

The latest update comes after Sean’s family issued a statement, addressing his feud with Scott and his claims that Scott is “bullying” him.

On Instagram, they wrote: “I just wanted to come on here and say a massive thank you for all the outpouring of support we’ve had for Sean over the last couple of days — especially since the teaser for tonight’s episode.

“Obviously, it’s hard to pass judgment based on clips alone, because as we all know with reality TV, there’s always more going on than what we’re shown. But we know Sean personally, and for him to be reduced to tears because of someone else’s words tells us he must be genuinely upset – and our hearts are breaking for him right now.

“We really hope he’s okay. It’s so hard to watch. We truly believe Sean has grown a lot since his previous Love Island experience, and that he’s been the most authentic version of himself he can be up to this point in the show.

“We really hope this situation doesn’t ruin his time in there or put a dampener on what should be an incredible experience. We’re so proud of him,” they continued.

Sean’s family then went on to address claims that there has been “bullying” behaviour in the villa.

“We know the word ‘bully’ has been thrown around a lot in the last 24 hours, but these are really strong allegations and we don’t want to add fuel to the fire,” they confirmed.

“What we do want is to ask everyone to be kind – to all the contestants, not just Sean – and to remember that reality TV isn’t always a full representation of what’s happening.

“Once again, thank you for all the love and support you’ve shown Sean. If it’s possible, I’ll personally make sure Sean sees and reads all your messages when he’s out,” they added.
