· GOSS.ie

Love Island All Stars has introduced a brand-new twist, welcoming international bombshells for the first time ever.

The newcomers include Sher Suarez, Carrington Rodriguez, Yamen Sanders, Imani Wheeler, Zac Woodworth and Kyra Lizama, all of whom previously appeared on Love Island USA.

As viewers begin to get to know the latest Islanders, a dramatic moment from one of their past seasons has re-emerged – and it involves Carrington.

Now 28, Carrington featured on the second season of Love Island USA, which aired in 2020.

He entered the villa on day one and made it all the way to the final, narrowly missing out on a top-three finish.

He ultimately placed fourth alongside Laurel Goldman.

While he lasted the duration of the series, his journey wasn’t without controversy.

One moment in particular was labelled “cruel” by fellow Islanders and took place during the infamous Casa Amor twist, where the boys and girls are separated and introduced to a new set of bombshells.

Islanders must then choose whether to recouple or stay loyal to their original partner.

Prior to Casa Amor, Carrington had been coupled up with Kierstan Saulter, who chose to stay faithful.

Carrington, however, returned with someone new.

In a moment that shocked both viewers and Islanders, Carrington initially re-entered the villa alone before calling up the stairs for his new partner, Laurel, to join him.

For a brief moment, Kierstan believed he had chosen to stick with her – before realising the truth. She later described the move as “so cruel”.

Ahead of his appearance on Love Island All Stars, Carrington reflected on that time while speaking to ITV, saying: “Love Island USA was when I was 22. I went on the most dates in any season ever… they called me ‘date guy’.

“So I did talk to a lot of girls. During Casa Amor I came down the stairs alone… and then called a girl down, which became a huge thing.”

He went on to explain that he feels he has grown since then, insisting he’s approaching the experience differently this time.

Carrington said: “I will try and get to know people deeply rather than constantly moving on.

“I’m more mature and I know what I want. I’m willing to buy more into the process and actually see if someone in there is the one for me.”
