Marc Anthony FINALLY breaks silence on Brooklyn Beckham bombshell statement: 'Hardly the truth'
· GOSS.ieMarc Anthony has finally broken his silence on Brooklyn Beckham’s bombshell statement.
Last month, Marc was brought into the spotlight when he was referenced in Brooklyn Beckham’s damning statement.
Brooklyn – who is the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham – released an explosive statement on his Instagram stories, stating that he will “not reconcile with [his] family”, and claiming that David and Victoria are “trying endlessly to ruin [his] relationship.”
In the lengthy statement, Brooklyn claimed that his first dance with his wife, Nicola Peltz, was “hijacked” by Victoria during their wedding in April 2022.
“My mum hijacked my first dance with my wife, which had been planned weeks in advance to a romantic song,” he wrote.
“In front of our 500 wedding guests, Marc Anthony called me to the stage, where in the schedule was planned to be my romantic dance with my wife, but instead my mum was waiting to dance with me,” Brooklyn continued.
“She danced very inappropriately on me in front of everyone. I’ve never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated in my entire life. We wanted to renew our vows so we could create new memories of our wedding day that bring us joy and happiness, not anxiety and embarrassment,” he added.
While Marc had not spoken out at the time of the statement, he has now described the ongoing feud as “extremely unfortunate” but added that the way it has played out “is hardly the truth.”
“I have nothing to say about what’s happening with the family. They’re a wonderful, wonderful family. I’ve known them since before the kids were born. I’m godfather to Cruz,’ the singer explained.”
“I’m really close to the family,” he added in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
“But I have nothing to say about what happened there. It’s extremely unfortunate how it’s playing out — but [how it’s playing out] is hardly the truth.”
