Netflix teases more Stranger Things as boss CONFIRMS spin-offs beyond final season

Netflix has teased that there’s more to come from Stranger Things after bosses confirmed spin-offs beyond the final season.

The series has followed a group of young friends as they fight supernatural forces while navigating their teen years.

With four seasons’ worth of supernatural chaos, broken friendships, resurrected villains, and Upside Down mysteries, there’s a lot to keep straight, with the first, final part of the series being released on November 27th.

Aside from the Netflix series, Stranger Things: The First Shadow is already a stage production that has received great reviews on London’s West End.

Additionally, Stranger Things: Tales From ’85, an animated series with a new cast that takes place between the second and third seasons of the main show, will debut next year.

However, discussions are also underway regarding a number of other opportunities, such as the chance to delve deeper into specific characters.

According to The Sun, speaking at the London premiere, Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos confirmed: “The world of Hawkins, Indiana and the Upside Down, it’s not over.”

Additionally, a source told the publication: “Stranger Things has been one of the ultimate success stories for Netflix — loads of people got subscriptions just to watch that.”

“They know there is a massive appetite for more, so although now is the right time to end the main series, it won’t be the end of the story.”

“There have been talks of a live-action spin-off as well as another animated project. But there is also a hope that individual characters could return to the screen in stand-alone shows,” they added.

Season 4 closed with the revelation that Vecna, the show’s most formidable villain, survived his apparent defeat.

Though Nancy, Steve, and Robin injured him, he managed to escape and complete his plan to open four major gates throughout Hawkins.

These tears between worlds now allow the Upside Down to spill into reality, setting the stage for a catastrophic collision between dimensions.

Vecna’s survival ensures he will remain the central threat in the show’s final chapter.
