Rebecca Loos calls Brooklyn Beckham's statement 'validation' amid family feud
· GOSS.ieRebecca Loos has called Brooklyn Beckham’s statement “validation”, amid the Beckham’s family feud.
Last week, Brooklyn – who is the eldest son of David and Victoria Beckham – released an explosive statement on his Instagram stories, stating that he will “not reconcile with [his] family”, and claiming that David and Victoria are “trying endlessly to ruin [his] relationship.”
Following the statement’s release, Rebecca shared two comments on Instagram, one of which stated: “The truth always comes out.”
Almost two weeks on from the bombshell statement, Rebecca – who is David’s former assistant and has previously alleged that they had an affair – has now delivered her first interview on the matter.
In a clip from a 90-minute documentary, titled The Beckham Feud: Truth and Lies, Rebecca described Brooklyn’s statement as “validation” for her.
She stated: “Suddenly you’re part of a big PR war. In a very small way, this is of course validation for what I said and came forward and said 22 years ago.”
Rebecca continued: “Brooklyn is basically confirming inauthentic relationships, value of promotion, endorsements above all else, and that it’s all focused on brand Beckham, and that that’s all that matters.”
Rebecca then went on to share her thoughts on Brooklyn alleging that Victoria “hijacked” his first dance with his wife Nicola Peltz at his wedding in 2022, after Marc Anthony described Victoria as “the most beautiful woman in the room.”
In her response, Rebecca argued that Victoria should have “read the room” during the awkward scenario.
She detailed: “Whether it came from her or whether it was Marc Anthony is beside the point because it shows a lack of awareness for other people’s feelings.
“I think any other mother would’ve read the room and understood this is awkward and probably said, thank you for the compliment, but the most beautiful woman in the room is Nicola. Nicola, please take this dance.
“Or, at least if the mother had had a few too many glasses of wine and was unable to read the room, maybe the husband or the father would then have maybe stepped in and maybe grabbed Nicola, twirled her around and then swap partners to let her have the dance,” Rebecca added.
Rebecca is best known for previously working as football star David’s personal assistant in 2003. The following year, Rebecca alleged that she had a four-month-long affair with David while she was his employee.
David has always denied the claims, and previously described them as “ludicrous” in a statement to The Guardian in April 2004.
Last week, an Instagram user wrote in the comments section of Rebecca’s recent post: “Rebecca, you gotta see the awesome ditch Brooklyn just posted in his story about David and Victoria and their lies. I feel like Brooklyn is supporting everyone who knows the facade.”
The comment continued: “I know you are wonderful and happy and don’t need validation but I think you will feel a source of extra validation. Especially the end about the dogs 🐾.”
Rebecca promptly replied: “So happy he is standing up for himself and speaking publicly finally!!!! I have felt so bad for his poor wife, knowing too well what they can be like!”
Another commenter penned that it was a “fascinating admission from Brooklyn”, to which Rebecca responded: “The truth always comes out ❤️”.
The Beckham Feud: Truth and Lies will air on Sunday, February 1 at 9pm on Channel 5.
